As St Stephen's Green operates a one way system to drive to the front door of The Club you must either turn left at the bottom of Lesson St and follow the Green around or turn left at the bottom of Ely Place and follow the Green around.


Parking on St Stephen's Green is pay and display from 7.00 a.m. - 7.00 p.m.

  • The Royal College of Surgeon's Car park on Mercer Street*
  • The Dawson Street Car Park on Schoolhouse Lane
  • The Brown Thomas Car Park on Clarendon Street
  • The Drury Street Car park on Drury Street

*Clients of the club will receive 50% discount ‘Q-Park’ Car-Parks; Royal College of Surgeons & Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre. This is capped at a maximum of €10.00 for 24 hours.

Tickets are validated in reception on departure, the stamp is not time-sensitive.

Most of the major bus routes will stop on St Stephen's Green.

Accessibility / Wheelchair Access

As the Club was built in the 1700’s and is a historic building, not all areas are fully wheelchair accessible. We do have a lift which access all bedroom floors and additionally the Card Room and Member’s Bar. The Guest Room and Member’s Reading Room are not accessible for wheelchairs.

The Club has a removable ramp for the front door, please advise us in advance should you or one of your guests require it.

The Dress Code

Please pay careful attention to our dress code below:

  • It is a requirement that all Members of the Club and their guests be well groomed and smartly dressed at all times. 
  • The dress code for gentlemen is jacket and collared shirt.  Equally suitable smart attire is required for ladies. From time to time, the Club may organise functions requiring a specific dress code. This dress code will be advised in advance.
  • Sweatshirts, tracksuits, running shoes, hiking style boots, beach type sandals and athletic footwear are not permitted. Sportswear with advertising messages or slogans is also not permitted unless specifically permitted by the General Manager or Honorary Secretary.
We would kindly ask all Members and  Event Organisers to remind their guests of the dress code to avoid any embarrassment when coming into the Club.
